Area of Expertise
Mr. Weiss has considerable experience in handling all aspects of labor and employment law, including sex discrimination, wage and hour law issues. He also handles all aspects of workers' compensation defense litigation, including discrimination claims under Labor Code Section 132a, serious and willful misconduct and toxic exposure, as well as business, commercial, and employment-related issues.

Mr. Weiss has lectured at California State University at Northridge and at the PARMA convention, as well as before numerous other employer groups and trade associations. In addition, Mr. Weiss has been published in the Journal of Workers Compensation for an article entitled, "Preparing for a Pandemic: Impact of Bird Flu on Employers."
Memberships
Mr. Weiss was admitted to practice law in California 1989. He is a member of the California State Bar and the District of Columbia Bar. He is also a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the California Workers' Compensation Defense Attorneys Association. He is admitted to practice in Federal court in all districts of California.
Education
Mr. Weiss is a graduate of Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board and participated in the Monrad Paulson Moot Court Competition. He earned his Bachelors in Business Administration and Economics from Bernard M. Baruch College at City University of New York, where he also served as Chairman of student council, 1984-1985.
Outside Activities
In addition to the practice of law, Mr. Weiss is a member of the Executive Board of the Bikur Cholim Jewish Health Care Foundation of Los Angeles, and is also a member of the Board of Directors of Maalot Los Angeles. He was also elected to the Mid-City West Community Council, and serves on its Public Safety Committee.
